Canadian actress Grace Park was born on March 14, 1974 in Los Angeles, California. Her parents are American-Korean. When she was 22 months old, their family moved to Canada, and she grew up in Kerrisdale, Vancouver.
The actress speaks English at home but knows a bit of French and Korean. She considers herself to be a native of Canada but is first and foremost a Korean. She studied at Magee Secondary School where she graduated in 1992, and afterward took up Psychology at the University of British Columbia.
After college, she started out as a model before trying out acting. She was initially planning to spend just a year in acting. However, she was cast as a regular in Edgemont, a family drama TV series that ran from 2000 to 2005.
She was given a role in the 2007 crime drama film West 32nd. This movie was set in the Korean neighborhood of New York City. Afterward, she appeared in the popular strategy video game Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars as Lt. Sandra Telfair, in which her Battlestar Galactica co-star Tricia Helfer also appeared.
Grace Park was able to land a role in the drama series The Cleaner, but the show was canceled in 2009 after just two seasons. The actress was also cast in the TV series The Border, which featured stories of Canadian Immigration and Customs Security Squad. The Border, which ran for only three seasons, was also canceled in 2010.
