Before she made her acting debut in 2004, Mini Anden graced various campaign ads for top designer brands such as Gucci, Chloe, DKNY, Giorgio Armani, and Burberry, just to name a few. A well-known supermodel, she is currently famous as one of the greatest models Sweden ever produced. Anden’s biggest break was when she landed a starring role for the movie ‘The Mechanic’.
Born on February 13, 1978 in Stockholm, Sweden, Suzanna Anden was known to be restless as a child and was prescribed to take Ritalin. She still takes this drug until now as treatment for her ADHD. Since the age of five, she has been trained in ice-skating.
At the age of 10, Mini Anden was spotted by one of her schoolteachers’ daughters. She immediately gained success by doing fashion shows and photo shoots for various children lines. At the age of 15, she joined Elite Model Management.
In 2001, Anden was handpicked as a judge in the prestigious Miss Universe beauty pageant. She has also proven her hosting skills for Scandinavia’s Next Top Model, which premiered February 2005. The Swedish supermodel has been a reporter for Trend Watch of Vogue Magazine.
Anden achieved great success as a model. In 2004, she made her film debut at the Tribeca Film Festival for the film ‘Point and Shoot’. That same year, she made a cameo appearance as a supermodel in Steven Soderbergh’s film, Ocean’s Twelve.
The following year, she landed a starring role as Sue, the other woman of Bryan Greenberg’s character in the romantic comedy Prime, alongside Meryl Strip and Uma Thurman. Shortly after, she wrapped up production on another film project ‘An Suivant!’ directed by Jean Biraz. The blue-eyed beauty also made guest appearances on TV shows NCIS and MONK.
Mini Anden has been on the covers of many fashion magazines, including Italian Marie Claire, Italian and German Glamour, German and Italian Elle, British GQ and German Vogue. She has also been featured on the inside pages of popular fashion magazines including Elle, Marie Claire, Vogue, Allure, W, i-D, Harper’s Bazaar, the Face just to name a few. As a supermodel, she’s been included in fashion campaigns with the likes of DKNY, BCBG, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and more.
Anden has worked with some renowned fashion photographers including Patrick Demarchelier, Paolo Roversi, David Sims, Mikael Jansson, Peter Lindbergh, Marcus, Michel Comte, etc. In February 2006, she became the face of Armani CODE, the latest fragrance of Giorgio Armani. Following that, she was in the Sisley campaign.
Since 1998, she has constantly taken part of various fashion shows, from ready-to-wear to fabulous haute couture. She has also strutted on the runway of Victoria’s Secret in 2001 and 2003. During her spare time, she uses her celebrity status to do charity work.
Mini Anden is involved with different charities, particularly in Operation Smile, a non-profit international organization that help children born with cleft palates, cleft lips and other facial deformities. In 2001, she married Taber Schroeder, a model. Currently, she splits her time between Los Angeles and New York City.
