Actress Anabell Gardoqui Ana de la Reguera hails from Veracruz, Mexico, and she was born on April 8, 1977. She was not new to the world of show business. Her mother was crowned as Miss Veracruz, who later on became a successful journalist and eventually ended up as a familiar TV personality.
The actress herself attended Instituto Veracruzano de Cultura to study performance arts. She became the host of local TV show Pasarela. Aside from TV shows and commercials, the actress also performed in theatrical productions. Her performance in El cartero gave her two Mexican Association of Theatre Journalists awards. Ana De la Reguera also made movies. Her movie debut was the film Por la libre. She also appeared in other movies, such as Ladies Night, Gitanas, and Un Secreto de Esperanza.
She appeared in the second season of Eastbound & Down. The actress is perhaps most popularly known as Sister Encarnacion in the movie Nacho Libre. The actress also appeared in the 2011 movie Cowboys & Aliens starring Daniel Craig.
