Autumn Reeser was born in La Jolla California but was raised in Carlsbad and Oceanside. She attended Carlsbad High School where she was into cheerleading, school plays and the French Club. However, little did Autumn know that she was destined for stardom.
As a child, Autumn was an avid reader with books that ranged from anything from Nancy Drew, to the Linda Craig detective series to Encyclopedia Brown. Autumn was always a good student that even earned her a Scholastic Award for her part as a preteen reporter for the Gifted and Talented Program. As a kid growing up, Autumn was into horseback riding and drawing.
Autumn’s background in acting started when she was six years old by performing in numerous musicals with the Carlsbad Youth Theater. It was when she portrayed a mouse in a local production of ‘Cinderella” where she really felt that acting was her passion. Her favorite stage role was playing Lily St. Regis in a local musical-theater production of “Annie”.
Autumn continued to appear in a ton of local productions until she was 17. At such a young age, Reeser decided to make the move to Los Angeles to not only pursue an acting career but also to study at UCLA. To support herself, Autumn began as a waitress for Jerry’s Famous Deli, Café 50’s and Gypsy Café while attending classes in the morning. It didn’t take too long until she began interning at a casting director’s office where she quickly learned what the film and television business had to offer.
Soon enough, Autumn landed a manager and an agent and got to book her first role in Hollywood. She was introduced as an alien girl on “Star Trek: Voyager” when she was 20 years old. Plenty of guest-starring roles followed with appearances in “The George Lopez Show”, “Grounded for Life”, “CSI” and “Cold Case”.
However, her breakthrough role came in 2005 when she was given the role of Taylor Townsend on the hit TV show “The OC”. Autumn had to portray the peculiar and socially awkward Taylor for the final two seasons of the show for which she gained much recognition. In fact, it was her role in “The OC” that earned her rank #65 on the Maxim Hot 100 List of 2007.
Soon enough, Autumn was getting the recognition she deserved which roles that were slowly putting her into the spotlight. She had a steady flow of TV guest-spots and roles in several small films. But it was still in “The OC’ where people really noticed her.
It wasn’t long until Autumn finally got the role she was looking for that could separate her from being type casted on “The OC.” She became known as junior agent Lizzie Grant on the hit HBO series, “Entourage”. In the following years, she was then cast as Katie Andrews on the sci-fi drama “No Ordinary Family”.
As her Hollywood dreams are on a roll, so is her personal life with husband writer and director Jesse Warren and son Finn Warren who was born in May of 2011. She currently lives in Los Felix, California as she continues to live the Hollywood dream. When she’s not in front of the camera, Autumn enjoys cooking for her family, making scrapbooks and painting.
Aside from acting, Autumn Reeser lent her voice to the 2008 video game “Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3” as Commander Lissette Hanley of the Allied Nations. She also became spokesperson for Clean & Clear. However, despite all her Hollywood success, the role Autumn loves best is being a wife and mom to her family.
