Arianny Celeste is only one among those many success stories who started out appearing in various trade shows and conventions before being an Octagon Girl for the UFC. Even during the early part of her career, she was toughened up by her experiences as a model for a food and beverage show, pizza show and nightclub, and as such, her dedication in work eventually paid off. While strutting her stuff in UFC, she also appears frequently on high-profile magazines and other advertising campaigns.
Arianny Celeste-Penelope Lopez in real life, the Latina beauty was born on November 12, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Coming from a Mexican (three-quarters) and Filipino (one-quarter) descent, Arianny is the oldest of the three siblings. She started modeling at a very young age of four months for a car-seat company advertisement.
It then took 13 years before she managed to focus exclusively on enjoying her childhood. As a child, she had always excelled in cheer dance and gymnastics. Arianny Celeste did not follow the cliché of thinking that education was just a hindrance to her modeling career.
She chose to graduate in Palo Verde High School early, as she was excited to enter University of Nevada, Las Vegas. There, Arianny studied nutrition and fitness management and at the same time, she took every modeling gig on the side to support herself. She appeared at different trade shows and promos; surprisingly, she became the spokesperson for the United States Army and Brut aftershave.
In 2006, Arianny made her debut as a member of UCF’s group of sexy Octagon Girls in Hard Rock Hotel, after successfully passing an open casting call. The job requires her to hold up the round cards for different UCF fights. Because of UFC, she got plenty of exposure, particularly in modeling, while giving her opportunity to travel a lot and witness great fighters.
Although traveling with popular UFC fighters such as the likes of Chuck Lidell and Tito Ortiz seems to be a sweet bonus, getting her own spotlight has proven to be a life-changing tool for Arianny Celeste’s popularity. In 2008, popular men’s magazine Maxim deemed her one of the top 10 ‘Hometown Hotties’. She was also recognized as the ‘Ring Girl of the Year’ for the MMA publication Fighter’s Only Magazine.
In the same year, her good friend Wilmer Valderrama requested her to make a cameo appearance for the music video he directed. The MV was a collaboration of Frankie J and Omar Cruz called ‘To the Top’. Her modeling career soared higher as she became the spokeswoman for the energy drink Throwdown and was even included on the cover of Status Fitness.
She kicked off 2009 with a bang when she won as Las Vegas’ Top Model. Arianny got the 23rd spot on Maxim’s Hot 100 list in 2010. Being in UFC as an Octagon Girl for 5 years, her fame has exploded, with Arianny appearing in many magazines including FHM, Maxim, Maxim Espanol and Playboy.
When UFC launched a weekly, web-only show in July 2010 called UFC Ultimate Insider, she served as the host for the said show, alongside Joe Rogan. She interviewed many UFC fighters and features current updates on event highlights, upcoming matches and PPVs. The show’s pilot episode also featured a new photoshoot together with Arianny.
Arianny Celeste posed nude for Playboy in its November 2010 issue. This year, she won again the title of Ring Girl of the Year. She is currently residing in Los Angeles where she has had good chances to get into music videos and film projects.
